Art exhibitions, live performances and site-specific installations presented within Premio Stromboli, a multidisciplinary festival exploring art, technology and sustainability.
An island-wide contemporary art project shaped by site, time and transformation, conceived, produced and organized by Elisa Russo, Manuela Morandi and Cristina Maymone.
Premio Stromboli is a multidisciplinary five-day festival where contemporary art, digital technology and sustainability converge to create an immersive cultural experience, embracing the island itself as both context and material.
Installations, performances and exhibitions are developed as site-specific interventions, engaging directly with sacred architecture, urban spaces and the volcanic landscape of Stromboli.
Across its editions, the festival has hosted significant artistic interventions developed in dialogue with the island’s architecture and environment.
The 2023 edition featured a striking performance by Franko B inside the Grotta di Eolo, the installation Oltre Balla by Fabio Weik inside the Church of San Vincenzo, a monumental site-specific work by Weik on the church’s external façade, and a mural intervention by urban artist Vesod overlooking the Stromboli seafront.
In 2024, the project expanded with the exhibition Eroico (il) Paesaggio, curated by Lucrezia Longobardi. The exhibition brought together works by Petrit Halilaj, Yuri Ancarani, Benni Bosetto, Irene Fenara and Renato Leotta, with artworks loaned from private collections and museums in Italy and Germany. The jury of the finalist artists included Vicente Todolí and Lorenzo Balbi, reinforcing the curatorial relevance of the initiative.
The project was fully curated and produced by our team, overseeing artistic production, on-site technical realisation, logistics, institutional permissions, budgeting and communication, including press relations and photo-video documentation.
